My challenge was to market Cal Poly Pomona’s keynote speaker, Reyna Grande, and her book, at an upcoming event hosted by the Office of Student Success. I came up with a color palette that would complement the book cover while choosing earth tone colors to match her journey on foot from Mexico to America. Additionally, Mexican embroidery often uses illustrative floral prints rooted back to traditional dresses with cultural or indigenous roots. Along with the flyers, I created a double sided bookmark to be handed out to students and staff as a marketing material to remind everyone to come and attend the Keynote and Reception.
